Earthquake is the most difficult natural disaster to predict in science. Until now, its prediction has been a difficult problem to overcome. Earthquakes are also divided into land earthquakes and ocean earthquakes. For land earthquakes, scientists often use real-time scientific monitoring of earthquake-prone areas to make a rough prediction of possible earthquake disasters. But not Marine earthquakes, which are difficult to monitor with the current state of science. The appearance of sensor brings new hope for the application of seismic monitoring.
Seismometers are the instruments used by the scientific community to record the occurrence of earthquakes. Seismometer is a special sensor used for geological exploration and engineering measurement. It is a sensor that converts ground vibration into electrical signal. It can convert ground vibration caused by seismic wave into electrical signal, and then convert it into binary data through analog-to-digital converter.
With such a detector as the foundation, it is possible to further explore more accurate monitoring sensor through its principle. Among them, it is possible to use grating displacement sensor, acceleration sensor, inclination sensor and acceleration sensor.
1. Grating displacement sensor
Grating displacement sensor and classical inertial pendulum seismograph are two kinds of instruments with different principles, which have greater advantages in measuring the position movement of objects. If it is further combined with laser technology, its sensitivity will be further greatly improved.
2. Acceleration sensor
Acceleration sensor is an electronic device that can measure acceleration force. It is typically used in mobile phones, laptops, pedometers and motion detection. The acceleration sensor is used to realize the design of the seismometer tester, which has the functions of signal conditioning, temperature compensation, self-test, and can be configured to detect 0g or pulse detection of fast motion, but also has the characteristics of low power consumption, easy to carry, high precision and fast speed.
3. Inclination sensor
Inclination sensors are used in a variety of applications to measure angles. Inclination sensors can also be used to measure changes in inclination relative to the horizontal plane. People always think about how to know the earthquake in advance, usually there is a lot of gas released before the earthquake, through this phenomenon can be predicted, but now there is a real-time detection method is to use the inclination sensor, the inclination sensor buried deep underground near the earthquake, when the earthquake is going to happen, there will be movement in the earth's crust, This allows the detection of angular changes caused by crustal movements.
4. Optical fiber sensor
The optical fiber sensor can measure all kinds of parameters accurately and adapt to bad conditions. At the same time, optical fiber sensor has more advantages than traditional sensors in networking and transmission interval because of its low transmission loss and wide frequency band.
In recent years, Chinese seismic signal recorder and signal processor technology have made great progress, but the sensor used to receive seismic signals has not made a great breakthrough, still continue the original electromechanical conversion mode and analog signal transmission, all these seriously restrict the development of Chinese earthquake monitoring technology, so it is urgent to improve the performance of sensors. With the development of sensor technology, sensor has made great breakthroughs in earthquake monitoring, which brings us new hope.
